Medical terminology

It has been an interesting experience with learning and exploring the meanings of medical words. Some things that really helps with the memorization of these words was watching the video. It mad you look at it in a way that makes it easier to remember rather then writing a word and a definition. Thats one of the hardest ways for me to memorize things i need a visual and that really helped. Words that i have learned include plast which means surgical repair. Anus/ or rectum means proct. If some one comes up to you and says hey you have a nephr they are completely right. Nepher means kidney you might have 1 or 2 but you still have a nephr. Just like we all have a crani and cerebr which is your skull and brain. When i think of my stomach i think of gastr. Have you every had a spasm? also know as a involuntary contraction. DId you no your largest organ is the skin in medical terms The dermat. Have you look at the american flag and seen Cyan, erythro and leuk? you most likely dont know what these words are but its blue, red and white! So when a medical professional says dermatitis you have inflammation on the skin. What if they say gastralgia you have stomach pain!

Reflection on Project

What when well in our project that i would do again is splitting up the work. This helped with Keeping organization with each part of the project. Also this helps with not putting a lot of pressure on one person. I would have changed the work fact that only two out of the three people in the group did work. This is not fair to everyone in the group. If they do work and the third wheel doesn’t its not fair to the other group members. They did all the work and he gets credit for doing nothing. Things about water and Pathogens that may be useful to help with this new project. I think both project will give me a good grade and I think they both will be very detailed. The last one i believe will have a better grade because of lots of examples, definitions and enthusiasm was in our project.

washing your hands to be bacteria free!!

Over the experience of working with the senior class, i’ve learned many important facts about your hands. For example when washing your hands dont shake your hands dry because your spreading the bacteria on your hands. Also never touch the faucet with your hands after washing them because it is filled with bacteria. Everyday you touch and come in contact with bacteria. We think that if we was our hands then hold hands with someone our hands are clean and we can go eat right afterwards. This is not the case, you are touching someone with dirty hands that you have no idea if they have washed them ater coming from the restroom or anything. So you must always wash your hands for thirty seconds. Make sure to get in between your fingers under your nails and your thumbs. Also make sure your hands are soapy enough. To make sure you wash your hands for 30 seconds you can sing the abc’s or twinkle twinkle little star or even the happy birthday song.

Sink or swim reflection

Our Project was in my opinion one of the more detailed presentations then the other groups. Thats something don very well in our group was details. The details helped us to get our points across and to help the viewers understand the concept. Another thing done well was the fact that we got everyone in our group to come together in collaboration and beside our very different personalities finish our project. some improvement that we can input into our future projects one of these things include being more prepared about having everything together before filming because then you have to keep going back and fix things and add things to make it better. Some more improvement that can be used in the future is having people in the group do more then they did. All the research and script making was two out of the three people doing work. I believe we did incorporate all parts of the rubric. We worked extremely hard to get every part of the Rubric into the project. We also tried to elaborate on each part and add lots of details. We broke every part down to get into each part of the project to make sure we accomplished the entire project.
